Nutrition Counseling

Nutrition education and recommendations target your specific medical and personal needs. We will work together in an encouraging and supportive environment, implementing gradual and realistic change while identifying triggers that may be preventing you from improving quality of life.

We will use an Integrative and Functional Nutrition approach to identify “root causes” of disease in a methodical and systematic fashion rather than the mundane prescription of medical nutrition protocols based on a diagnosis, using a “whole systems” approach and personalize a holistic nutrition care plan to restore function and improve outcome.

An essential part of this process is setting attainable and sustainable goals. I do not believe that feeling guilt or deprivation in relationship to food is healthful. I believe that, through counseling, you can gain control of your life and overall health.

We will see you as a whole person and not just your food and calories intake and weight. As a non-diet dietitian, we will help you feel empowered to trust your body and to make the best decisions for your health through a holistic approach.

We will help you to make mindful eating decisions prioritizing internal hunger and satiety cues over eating rules. For us, all food has a place on the table. There are no good and bad foods

We will walk beside you instead of leading the way because for a lifestyle change, you are the one who have to be certain that you are choosing the best for you. We will focus on your relationship and habits around food.

Even thought, we are non-diet dietitians, we are still dietitian!

We will take everything into consideration. Your individual needs will determine how much nutrition will be more or less emphasized, and it’s very likely that it will look different than the nutrition that is generally publicized, but nutrition therapy will be part of your care. We help you discover what your needs are and what foods make you feel your best.

Our approach is highly individualized and rooted in intuitive eating, mindfulness, self-compassion, and the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES). We help you cultivate a healthy relationship with both food and your body, without trying to control your weight.

We help you figure out a way of eating that is right for you and that allows you to take care of your body, without restriction or deprivation.

Let us provide practical advice and encouragement to ensure your success.
